China 6.9 Magnitude Earthquake

China recently struck by 6.9-magnitude earthquake which reportedly cut the lives of about 400-people affected at the western mountainous part of the country and about 10-thousand reported injuries. According to news, this casualties might start to increase soon because there are still people trapped on their houses covered by muds. It happened in about 7:49 A.M. G.M.T. or 7:49 P.M. E.D.T. which epicenter was recently pointed out on a small county of Yushu.

Those casualties merely involves farmers as well as herders which are living on the southern part of the region with an about 100-thousands population. The U.S. Geological Survey marked a 6.9-magnitude at their richer scale which cause people to panicked and starts to move out on the street of Qinghai. And according to report, there are some students which are still trapped on their school building, unaware of this disaster that will surprisingly hit their regions.

Here's a little story gathered by an Associated Press straight from the affected area,
"Nearly all the houses made of mud and wood collapsed. There was so much dust in the air, we couldn't see anything," said Ren Yu, general manager of Yushu Hotel in Jiegu, the county's main town. "There was a lot of panic. People were crying on the streets. Some of our staff, who were reunited with their parents, were also in tears."
It is hard to imagine that a strong China earthquake become one of a devastating calamity were people are not aware of it. This 2010 might not be a good year for Chinese people who are reportedly lost their life but we need to bring our strong arms for them.
